The process of getting fuel subsidy rebates will be simple and will only take three minutes
At a press conference yesterday, Pos Malaysia executive director Datuk Abu Huraira Abu Yazid said car owners only needed to do the following to get the cash rebate:
- Go in person to any of the country's 683 post offices in Malaysia,
- Bring your identity card,
- Provide your car registration number, and
- Fill a money order form.
Rebates can be claimed from tomorrow until March 31 next year 2009 for those who bought new or renewed their road tax between April 1 and May 31 this year 2008. For those after June 1, claims can be made from July 1.
